Grid-A-Licious™ is a Wordpress Theme made by Suprb. Divs are placed in chronological order with a special grid. Grid-A-Licious uses the jQuery javascript framework which can be downloaded from www.jquery.com. This layout can be seen at sites such as Reform & Revolution (www.reformrevolution.com) and TypeNeu (www.typeneu.com). It seems like there are plenty of people that really like the layout and made their own (sometimes copied our scripts without even asking for permission).

We decided to release this into the wild, so we created a theme, based on the same design you’ve seen before — for Wordpress.

Where can I see it in action?

A demo of the theme can be seen here. Also, check Reform & Revolution and TypeNeu. Both based on the same idea.

How do I install it?

First, you need Wordpress version 2.7 or better. Install it, and then simply upload the theme folder “grid-a-licious” to your Wordpress theme folder. Upload the plugin “post-image.php” to your Wordpress plugin folder (and active it). Replace “media.php” within your Wordpress installation –> wp-includes folder with the one that came with this package.

(you can not replace your current site with this theme and hope the site will work, you need to modify each post and page manually, or start all over again.)

How do I use it?

Check this video on how to post images. There are two different ways, “Poster-Image” and “Gallery-Images”. First, the video shows “Poster-Image”. You simply upload one image you want to be displayed on the front page of your site. Next is “Gallery-Images”. Upload all images at once, save and put the Gallery within your post.

We recently built a site for Michael Fakesch who started DESIGNINGSOUNDS™ in 2006. (Though his musical career began 12 years earlier) In 1994, Michael co-founded the music project Funkstörung which became world renown for their remixes (e.g. Björk, Wu-Tang Clan), being one of the first bands signed to K7 Records, and of course their outstanding visual collaborations (e.g. the DVD Isolated).

The site is based on our side-project Indxr.

New site for our good friend Ben Lukas Boysen (Hecq). The site is made in Codeigniter together with the jQuery framework. What’s good about the site is that it is fully graphic / theme customizable and will change appearance according to new releases of Ben’s future album designs.

We’ve been invited to this year’s OFFF conference in Lisbon. We will talk about the (re)born of Suprb and how Emil teamed up with Andreas, how we’re working together and how important our network is. We were invited last year, but had to turn it down because of personal issues.

The typeface ASCA-D was specially designed for the Swedish DIESEL® campaign DIESEL GENES by AD&D.
